Band Camp/First Aid - Responsibilities Overview
Rookie Camp
8:00am - 11:30am Morning shift in first aid tent
11:30am - 1:00pm Lunch shift monitoring/chaperoning students in the band hall
1:00pm - 5:00pm Afternoon shift inside for sectionals/rehearsal
Full Band Camp
8:00am - 11:30am Morning shift in first aid tent
11:30am - 1:00pm Lunch shift monitoring/chaperoning students in the band hall
1:00pm - 6:00pm Afternoon shift inside for sectionals/rehearsal

Chaperones - Responsibilities Overview
- Provide support to students and band staff during the summer band camp
- Provide water and first aid (training provided)
- Help/assist with band camp activities
Rookie Camp

Uniforms - Responsibilities Overview
- Maintain and upkeep of students uniforms and accessories
- Keep band uniforms clean
- General sewing/hemming
- Uniform storage
- Emergency mending or spot cleaning of uniforms.
- Assure band members are returning uniforms properly at the conclusion of each marching band activity
Pit Crew - Responsibilities Overview
- Responsible for loading, unloading, and staging band equipment at football games and marching band competitions
- Occasional workdays for prop construction, equipment storage, and other events (sometimes on the weekend)
Chaperones - Responsibilities Overview
- The main responsibility for chaperons is to supervise the students, keep them safe, and attend to their needs.
- In addition to supervising the students, chaperons assist with some other band-support duties while at competitions.
- Maintain water bottles and snacks during events and circulate them through the band to keep band members hydrated.
- Help uniform volunteers with assembling shakos and plumes.
- Provide and document first aid to band members and staff as needed.
