Pay Your Band Fees Online
Our Band Booster Board is happy to announce that we can now take credit card payments through our web site - just click on the tab above that says "Band Fees" for more information. The system will accept all major credit cards, however, a 3% convenience fee will be added to pay by credit card. When checking out, it is vitally important that you enter your band student's full name in the comment box to ensure proper posting of your payment! If you would like to avoid paying this convenience fee you may still submit your band fees by check or cash to the band safe in the band office.

They will have the chance to divide into teams and "battle it out" on our practice field Nerf Commander style! Students are not allowed to bring their own Nerf gear. All equipment, including protective eye wear, will be provided by Nerf Commander. Students will also be treated to a pizza dinner compliments of our SV Band Boosters. It will be loads of fun!
For more information check out the Nerf Commander web site.
Parent Performance/Potluck Dinner
On Tuesday, August 15th at 6:00pm, our Viking Band students will be giving parents a preview performance of the 2017 marching show. After this performance we will have a potluck dinner in the commons for all of our Viking Band families. During this dinner you will get to fellowship with our Viking Band families, order your 2017 spirit wear items, and purchase season football tickets. The band will provide paper products and we are asking that each family bring an item or two from the list below. This will assure a variety of offerings. Items can be dropped off in the Commons prior to the band’s performance. Please bring appropriate serving utensils with your dish. We will serve the students first following their performance. If you have questions about this event, or you are able to help with setup/cleanup please or show up about 5:15 or contact our hospitality chair, Deborah Whitlow at email@example.com. For the potluck dinner, we're asking each of the sections in the band to bring the following to share with the group.
Leadership Team – meat
Saxophone section – meat
Flutes – bread
Clarinets – side dish
Trumpets – beverages (2 liters or gallons of tea, lemonade or soda please)
Mellophones – side dish
Low Brass – salad of some type (lettuce salad, pasta salad)
Percussion – dessert
Color Guard – vegetable dish
Fundraise with United Scrip
If you do not know how Scrip works, this is how...
1. You order scrip (gift cards) in the amount and for the stores you want. Orders must be sent to Mary Havens via email (MHavens@sc.rr.com) or via text (803-606-7126) by 9:00 pm on Mondays.
2. You receive the gift cards at face value. For example, if you order a $25.00 Walmart gift card, you receive a $25.00 Walmart gift card.
3. A certain percentage, varies with each retailer, of that $25.00 which you paid, goes to your students band account for band fees. The percentage amount is noted on the retailers' list posted below.
4. You show up on Thursdays at 6:00 pm outside of the SVHS band room with a check for the amount due and you receive the gift cards.
Scrip is not a fast one time only fundraiser. The cards are ordered for the people who participate. If you made the decision to use scrip cards for your ordinary needs--gas, groceries, clothing, etc. and for special needs--birthdays, vacations, etc., it is totally possible to pay for your student's band fees without having to participate in another fundraiser or pay out-of-pocket. There are some who have done so, and more! There are some former band parents who still participate in the scrip program and have their profits credited to an current band student.
