Concert Band

Concert Band is the intermediate level performance-based ensemble at Spring Valley High School.  It is intended for the mature, dedicated, and talented wind musician who is looking to advance to the next level.  Emphasis is placed on individual tone production, technical development and sight-reading, as well as ensemble balance, blend, intonation, and aesthetic musical growth.  This will be accomplished through the drilling of tone and technical exercises and the performance of literature.  

After school rehearsals and performances are to be expected and required.  A weekend concert clinic will also be required during the first weekend of February.

Note:  Concert  and Symphonic band students are required to be enrolled in Viking Band.
